    Sounds like it's time for feeder jars with sugar water. Mine take a little now and I take the jars (glass) in whenever it gets below freezing.

    Plastic Frame Two Quick Questions

    Omlet also makes "yuppie" chicken coops, people with about 2-4 hens that just want a few eggs. It's good stuff, but too pricey for me.... FYI my 50 chickens just live in the barn... they don't...

    When making sugar water I understand that you can add either vinegar or bleach to stop the growth of the mystery molds! :eek:

    Thanks. Appreciate the help. I did measure, thought it was 2 3/4". I found out I was wrong after buying a $18 hole saw bit.

    I wanted to make something that would hold 2 jars and allow me to change the jars out without bees escaping.

    A board will go over the inner cover, it will have mason jars stuck in it with hardware...
