  1. Re: Beekeeping Photobomb (How NOT to market your honey)

You should be able to convince all that things around your place are all natural.
  2. Re: Which accounting method do you run to track sales and expenses?

This dollar is for the bees, this dollar is for me and so on.;)
  3. Re: Honey for Food Stamps, EBT, Farmers Market Cards, Payments, etc....

Cash always works with no strings. I use Square for cards but if someone on welfare wants my honey they can pay like everyone else.

    Re: Customer concern

At almost every event I work I will have someone that wants to tell the beekeeper how the bees make honey. There are times i tell them to go down the road and find a brain surgeon to talk too.

  6. Re: what to use for something to spread CREAMED HONEY on as a sample

I know somebody will always worry about something. Candy cigarettes make kids smoke, chewable vitamins also confuse kids, having a gun in the house is the cause of all gun deaths. It works for me if...

  8. Re: what to use for something to spread CREAMED HONEY on as a sample

I would use the popsicle sticks, I use gel caps for my regular honey for samples. I can make up hundreds before the market and they are good to go.
  9. Re: First year, how much honey to steal & should i use an excluder.

I would use an excluder just to keep the queen out of my honey super. Amount of honey to take depends on how you feel your summer will go for nectar.

Re: Anyone else know about bee huts?

Looks to me like they are having a good time with their project. More then you can say about most people sitting around the house doing nothing but facebook.
  11. Re: Chunk honey for the fair - what do they look for?

Just go for it and have fun, a 1lb queenline won't take much chunk and if nothing else you will know for next year.

    Re: Need Help Getting Contracts

I guess since Solano is what 400 miles from Thousand Oaks you would want to worry about trade secrets. I think the appreciate it is what is being offered.

Re: Should I move my Hives

I try to keep mine in the sun, the bees warm and and get out quicker and it seems to help with keeping other bugs at bay (not completely but at bay).
