    Caught our first swarm of the year today. Nice foot ball size swarm. Swarmed from an oak tree about 50 feet from where they landed on a mailbox post. Nice looking yellow bees look to be Italian.

    My take on the original post was that the hives would be in the pasture with the horses. I feel that any distance 50 feet or more from the fence would be good and no problems.
