  8. Re: Small scale increase plan - "Do-less" queen rearing.

    My tweaks/suggestions:

1 Get the bees out of the supers and put them on other hives. YMMV.

2 Take every box with brood and give it it's own top, bottom, and entrance. It doesn't have to be...

    Re: Hello from central wisconsin

Welcome! If you can grow blueberries in your soil, I'm jealous! Get bees, I doubt you'll regret it! No going near them if you've had a drink, learn from my mistakes:)

    Re: Cotton Seed

My family buys it by the truckload, I just planted some from the pile. It's not unusual for it to sprout if it gets spilled in a damp spot while feeding. It was a nice enough foliage plant, our...

If you don't find a source, i can send you some from the farm. I have grown it in the past, but it barely manages to flower by frost here.

    Re: Easy 5-frame nuc plans

I have a nuc box with an extra inch or so of depth, the burr comb is a huge nuisance. I'd sooner have a rim that I could add below when needed and keep the boxes at a standard depth.
