Re: Ultraviolet Sterilization of Bees ?

In connection to this thread, and in the spirit of the original poster that was courageous enough to venture forth with an "idea", here's something else that I would like to know more about.

  4. Re: looking for queenline bottles in Canada

Try Dominion and Grimm. They have a specific catalogue for honey.

  5. Re: Essential oils in winter - causing hive exodus?

What is the temperature of the basement? If it is too warm, the bees will think its summer and fly out the tube and perish. Could be that it has nothing at all to do with the essential oils.

We run them through a laser colour printer. Quite cheap compared to what I've been quoted for custom...

    Hi Ian,

I was at the presentation as well. What you say sounds about right in what the researchers presented in their study.

I am still concerned about using MAQS in the fall due to the higher...
  13. Re: hive made a new queen over the winter what do i do.

If there is any brood at all, the question is whether it was worker or drone brood. If it was worker brood, then you can assume for the time being that all is well. If it was drone brood, especially...

Re: Mating nucs on a large scale

Might be, but truly don't know

Would need more details. A four-generation genealogy from your relatives would be helpful in really determining it.
