    There is a member of our bee club that always seals the inside of new woodenware with a tincture of propolis in alcohol.... I have not tried it but she claims good results....

    Also keep in mind that it depends on what bees you have..... Carnies for example are much more frugal with winter stores than Italians.....

    Be aware that lesser wax moths might not be killed by freezing...... Greater wax moths do die..... My son ran into this exact problem.... Lesser wax moths on some frames, put in the freezer for 3...

    I love to sit and watch the sparrows try and get a drink from the bird bath this time of year.... As soon as they land a cloud of bees comes up from drinking and the sparrow quickly leaves.....;- )
