    Re: Lip Balm...

You will want the tube holder that holds 50 tubes. All you do is pour the mix over the top, all 50 fill at once.

The Dr who wrote honey revolution did a lot of work with diabetics. Even got some off their meds by using honey.

I have 5 or 6 of them & can't figure out weather or not they do any good. They don't do any harm.
Brushy Mountain ones are cheap & easy to assemble.

Re: Is it necessary to get stung?

Beekeeping for 2 years & not a single sting?
    That's just not normal.
I believe its good to get stung at least once a month, from the many articles I've read.

    Welcome,
Sounds like you're ready to go. IMO local bees are the best, see if a beekeeper in you're area sells bees.

If you're not comfortable doing the job, maybe another local beekeeper would be interested.
I refer all my removals to a couple different guys.

The colony sounds weak, have you considered moving it into a 5 frame nuc box?
You need a crowded box to keep beetles at bay.

I've been IPM with small cell for 6 years. Our losses run from 0-20%. I only remove the drone comb if its infested, & only PS occasionally.
    Everyone's experience is different.
  15. Re: mixing oxalic acid with water then use in a black flag fogger?

Keep in mind the acid vapors are dangerous to humans. If you're going to experiment make sure you have the proper respirator & eye protection.

Re: California Applicator licensing for MAQS?

When apiguard came out I had to get a permit from the ag dept. if I wanted to buy it.
I think it was approved in the state as an emergency use product at that time, so it was more restricted.

Only large amounts require the permit. If you want one take a printed brochure to the department of Ag. They will give you one.
