    Never overheated and ran at a constant speed.You tightened the wingnut to put pressure on that clutch disk to slowly get the speed up.After 25 yeas of good use and no telling how much use before that...

    Mine does not have the type of gear motor they come with.I picked up this power unit back about 25 years ago.You motor runs to a pulley that has a big wingnut with a clutch disk in between another...

    To get lots of comb I feed feed feed and then take out combs wit syrup and set out somewhere and let then clean it all out.Then spray with bt and stick it in a box till I need it.

    I have had combs collapse with too much honey in them before and I will never go without wired foundation.Also dont want customers having their nucs coming apart when they are being transported.

    I have tried the swifer and the generic brand but my bees dont scruff up the generic ones like they do the swifer but they still catch beetles.

    We have worlds of smartweed here but so far I have never seen a bee on it at all.I have always seen where it was a prized honey plant.If it is my bees should of made tons from it.

    That looks like a SHB larvae in that pic.He's not a grey like wax moth larvae.But you do have wax moth larvae because you can see their webs.Spray with Bt before they destroy the rest of your combs...

    I have some migratory covers but they dont seem to make much difference.The only difference I see is they can get away faster by not having an edge to run up against like on the telescoping covers.

    A question for you JW. Since Apistan is a synthetic pyretheroid do you think it would kill SHB like Check Mite did under corrugated cardboard?
