can i put a queen cell in the bees i get from a trap out or if i add brood will they make a queen.
Either way will work. Just make sure to slow release the queen or if you put brood in make sure the frame has larvae appropriate age or eggs. Should work fine, has for me.Quote:

If you have ripe queen cells and you are sure the hive is queenless AND do not have a laying worker I would go with the queen cell. The extra delay in developing a queen cell to ripe will retard the production for the rest of the season.
