Re: Blizzard and the bees
About the same here in Middlesex county, 22-23". I was supposed to visit with a potential new property owner tomorrow but there's just too much snow to go wading through.
It's supposed to rain Monday.
Re: Blizzard and the bees
I never made it to my bee yard today. Digging out all day. 5 foot drifts! Ugh. Hope the bees are doing better than me. The one hive and nuc I had left in my backyard didn't make it this winter. Real sad. I am holding out hope for the remaining 6. Spring please come quickly!
Re: Blizzard and the bees
Southington is buried too. Spent all day diggin out. Never made it to my bee yard either. 35 back breaking inches! Those drifts are killers too. Streets around me are still not even plowed once! Hope to check on the bees tomorrow...
Re: Blizzard and the bees
Give the plows a chance and time when was the last time you had 35 on the ground
Re: Blizzard and the bees
Several of those pictures would make great post cards, you have a lot of shoveling work to do Spark.
Re: Blizzard and the bees
Just making an observation Wade, I'm in no rush to go anywhere yet.
Re: Blizzard and the bees
Beautiful Christmas card pictures! The bees are just better insulated and if they had adequate food beforehand, they are fine.
