I sell the feeders from Miller bee supply that have the wire screen to prevent drowning. Some of the people that I have sold to, complain about the screen clogging up with crystalized sugars. Does anyone else have this problem?...What do you do to fix it?
When I have this problem in my homemade feeders in the field,I've removed thescreen and smacked with a hive tool multiple times to shatter the sugar crystals and then reshaped with my fingers.I imagine you could boil the screening in hot water.
I would NOT put hot water in the feeder.
