Quess I should have said hive beetles.sorry.
Last year was my first year beekeeping so hopefully someone more experienced will come by soon... I used 2 beetle blasters in each box and had a screen bottom board with a tray under it. I caught beetles in all but still found beetles when I did my inspections. My hive was pretty strong so it did not seem to be a real issue. Some people in my bee club use a beetle jail entrance trap and say it works pretty good. I have no experience with it so I couldn't really say. Honestly, I don't see how you could possible keep SHBs out of the hive all I tried to do was help the bees keep them from being a problem.
