Heat shrink bands for Muth jars.

Hello,
I have some 8 oz. and 1 pound size Muth jars with cork lids and now want the heat shrink bands for them. I've called Brushy and Dadant and they have given me different answers which don't make sense. Brushy says 38mm for both sizes. Dadant says 60mm for 8 oz. and 48mm for 1 lb size. Asked if she had that backwards and she put me on hold, came back and said "No, that is correct". Does anybody no how to measure properly for shrink bands and/or what is the correct size for these two jars?

Don't know the correct sizes, but call Gamber Container in PA. They stock Muths and bands and know the correct size band that goes with each..........and will mail them to you.......

Check online with SKS packaging. They have shrink bands in many sizes and colors.

I got bands for 1lb Muths from Mann Lake. (Call and ask) They will work, in a pinch, for 8oz but are much too large and it usually takes a few attempts to make it look good.

I've tried finding the appropriate size online. Unless you need thousands, it isn't worth it. BTW- the appropriate nominal size to order is the actual diameter of the jar or slightly larger.

We have shrink bands for the 8 oz muth that we can sell...pm me if interested...

For something unique and an eye catcher dip them in wax rather than using the band. Seals it up and makes a conversation piece.

Ditto on the good idea! Do you dip the entire cork down to or past the glass? Got a pic of one of yours?
