New Member From Utila, Honduras
Hello Group,
I have recently become very interested in beekeeping as a profitable hobby due to the fact that the only present way of getting pure local honey from our island is to go out in the jungle and raid several wild hives. There are a few locals doing this and I don't approve of disrupting a wild hive and taking all of the honey with no regard to the destruction of the hive and disregard to the bee's survival. This also keeps the price of local honey high due to the risks and hard work involved.
I don't have any hives yet as I want to study around a bit to make sure that I get it right before making any investments. I hope to learn a lot from those of you that are experienced in this field and later to contribute to the groups here.

That's awesome. I spent some time a few years back in Guanaja, it's wonderful slice of the world!

Haraga,
I really can't say because there are no beekeepers here.
