Bee candy

Hi Ya'll,
I made bee candy for the first time and gave it to the bees. I have 5 new hives and just a couple of them were eating it. On one of them, they didn't touch it and ants were all over it, so I just took it off. What is your thoughts on that? Thanks in advance. Oh, I made sure they have enough stores for the winter and hopefully I did that right. They should be ok. Just worried as usual.

Yes, good to take it off since it was drawing ants. If they have enough stores for winter then the bee candy is not needed. The bee candy acts as emergency stores, not as daily feed.
