new swarm

i was at the house oct 1. pm and saw one of my hives swarming. they went on to a low bushy oak tree anout 50 ft. from there hive. at first there was one cluster about a qt. size and one almost a gal. size. when i got every thing ready to catch them they were all together in the gal. size group. i was able to sit a nuc about 6" under them. i pushet the most in to the nuc and the rest went in within 15 min. i put the lid on and left the entrance open. the next morning i closed them up and moved them to another yard about 15 miles away.
i have a question. how long do i have to leave them there before i can take them back to my yard?

I would feed and wait until they have capped brood to move

2 weeks should be plenty of time.

2nd of my 3 hives in this yard swarmes yesterday. they are 20' hi in a oak tree above the hives. i can not reach them because of bad health. just have to watch them. i am going to try and make a 20-30' pole with a screen basket for the next time.

i caught more this year by putting out empty hive bodies for traps. the swarm lure i got from mann lake seemed to work pretty good.
