Any experience w/ Kelley's observation hive sections?
I'm thinking that I could cut down an observation hive super and use that in building an "Ulster" styled observation hive for medium frames.
I'd be interested in knowing what the distance is between the glass panes.
I'd also like to know if the wood is pine, or something a little harder?

The wood is pine...
I bought just a "super" section to cut down and adapt it into a medium frame "Ulster" hive. I finally used some oak for the pieces. I bought a Brushy Mountain medium nuc box to use with the top assembly. I'll post pictures when it's finished.
