If you are being told to
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/imag...ies/search.gif,
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/imag...ies/google.gif, it is because the same question has been asked and answered repeatedly, and the veterans who have seen the answers before are letting you know that the answer to your question is not as elusive as the Holy Grail, nor the Fountain of Youth.
The Basics of Searching:
If you are a registered user, the Search "button" is the sixth (6th) word from the left, and the third (3rd) word from the right located in the top section of the screen, on the line that begins with "User CP."
The button says "Search," with a triangle that points downward next to it.
(Please note that this image does NOT contain the actual search button.)
Although it is not underlined, it is a hyperlink, and will open a text entry field when you click on it. When the text entry field is visible, enter your search criteria, then click the "Go" button to the right of it. If you are feeling adventurous, you could also try the "Advanced Search" link below the text entry field.
It is important to keep in mind that you may not turn up the results you are looking for with your first search. If this is the case, repeat the search using different keywords. It can be frustrating, but keep trying.
If after 15-20 minutes of searching you still can't find what it is that you're looking for, then post a new thread. If you are a s-l-o-w r-e-a-d-e-r, then please take more time to search, before posting a new thread.
"These results suck, is there a different way to search?"
If you're not satisfied with the results of your internal searches, you can also use Google to search the
mp3car.com forums.
To do this:
- go to the Google homepage (
www.google.com)
- in the query text entry field, type
site:mp3car.com followed by your keywords. (see image)
- then click on the "Google Search" button, and you will see the results of your search.
Beesource's search box is on the far right of the screen near the top of the page.
My 2 cents for today...Now, back under my rock. :)

While the tips in post #1 are valid, there is a much simpler and easier way to use the Google search engine than going through the "site:" keyword.
Simply use the Google Custom Search on the Beesource home page. Look for the box in the upper left. This function works much better than the search function that is on the upper right of each forum page.
If you are not sure what I am referring to, the Beesource home page is here:

Look at the upper left area

I am with Radar on this one. I was typing into the actual google search and coming up with better results than using the ‘search’ or ‘advanced search’ above. I started using it as a default with Beesource in it until this was pointed out (maybe last week or so).

Using the advanced search function is better than the regular forum search. Remember, when using advanced, there are still two options to pick from. 'Search Single Content Type' or 'Search Multiple Content Types'. Multiple Content Types seems to be the default, but I have had better luck using the Single Type. The Google search on the Beesource homepage is still the most extensive.

Thanks Barry, Minz and Rader for filling another gap in my education. The 'site: domainname.com' query text will still be useful when not signed on to Beesource and for other forum searches. :)
