Re: heating honey methods?
This can be a pain. a double boiler is nice, but you cant control the temp very well and you need to keep it low (no more than 140 is what I use) A hot tub works great belive it or not, you can also put them in your solar wax melter, or in the window of a car on a hot day. problem is to much heat will distort the plastic bottles. and they have to stay above 100 for a few hours to get the whole jar hot.
Re: heating honey methods?
You could just ask them to take the amount they want to use and place it in their microwave for a few seconds and explain to them it doesn't ruin it. I would be trying to figure out why it all became crystallized. Here is a very good article on Crystallization of Honey and why. http://www.countryrubes.com/images/H...allization.pdf
Re: heating honey methods?
I use the dash of the car when they are bottled I do get some funny looks when customers come to the office and see the dash lined with honey.
Re: heating honey methods?
I've had 5 gallon pails filling all but the driver's seat, all secured with seat-belts.
Re: heating honey methods?
Those seat belt violations can be costly.
