Every gun is perfect for quail! Things are like cockroaches here,I wish they'd make the season longer and the bag limit bigger.
The problem with an auto-loader is that they are a pain to unload and re load if you get in and out of the truck a lot.

Why not just shoot clay pigeons? Then you can get your adrenalin jollies without all the blood, death, dieing, guts and feathers. I wasn't going to comment on this thread until I saw the word,.."quail". Now tell me,.."but I love to see all that,..blood, guts, death, dieng and feathers" flying off into the autumn sky,..go ahead,.."make my day"!!
Besides, there are no more "wild quail" anymore; at least not wild enough to challenge anyone's "manhood",. It's like shooting "fish in a barrel"; have fun.
:pinch: Darn it I new as soon as he mentioned quail Oldbee would show up.
Clay pigeons dont taste nearly as well as real quail.
I like to shoot pumpkins. But not very challenging.
Poor pumpkins, they have feelings, too.

I dont think you can go wrong with a Mossberg 500 pump. Very affordable and pretty durable for the price.
when it comes to a firearm you cant go wrong with any thing when it's compared to nothing.
