Apitherapy is for panseys.
I was out today resetting a trail cam near our bee yard after the batteries had dies a few weeks ago. While strapping it to the tree I felt a sting and looked at my hand to see a large welt forming... Thought I got bit by a deer fly, but then I felt stings all over and I ran for it realizing I had stepped on a hornets nest.
I can honestly say that if I had any other ailments that the burn of the bald-face would have cured it for sure... I haven't been stung by any in years and forgot how bad they hurt. Received 7 stings total to my hands, back, and neck.

Dang! I feel you man. Those Hornets don't play...
Re: Apitherapy is for panseys.
Bluegrass,
I hate hornets! They feel like a red hot poker. Or at least that is how I describe it since I have never been burned by a red hot poker. Were you hanging upside down on that first pic? :D
Re: Apitherapy is for panseys.
U sure it was hornets? and not yellow jackets? I've never heard of hornets nesting in the ground.
Re: Apitherapy is for panseys.
Yeah there is no questioning that white and black color.
The last time I was stung their nest was in a blackberry thicket hanging about a ft off of the ground. I was about 10 years old. I assume this was a similar situation as I was stomping down chest high grass from in front of my camera.
Dnichols; cant you tell I am levitating? :)

I'd wait til cold weather to go back and get that camera.
