My queen flew the coup. I was hoping I could find a beekeeper in the southern New England I could buy a frame of eggs from so my new package might rear their own queen. Please send me a PM if you are in the Connecticut area and have a frame of eggs for sale.
I saw your earlier post and the advice given. I think the one about adding a frame of eggs was if you had the resources on hand. If not, then adding a mated queen puts you a month ahead of giving them a frame of eggs to raise one up. This time of year, you should be able to come up with a queen pretty easily.

Your package has alot of old bees, half the bees in will die in a week or two, the other half a few more weeks. Your package has been sitting in transit for who knows how long, did you get your package from the source or a middle man?
I installed a queen from the supplier of my package. Things are looking good so far, thanks for the advice.
