shallow super brood to deep super brood

Hello,

I have a limited budget, don't we all. I have a hive that I got last year that I would like to move from having brood in the shallow super they are in and relocate them to the deep hive body so that I can use the shallow supers for honey collection.

Any advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

move the frames to the deep super, you will have shallow/top bar foundationless deeps, you can rotate out 2 frames at a time, usually the outside frames as they stop using them for brood

Put the deep hive body on top of the brooded super. As the broodnest moves up into the deep, then reverse and put the deep on the bottom. Then they'll change things around for you themselves. As the brood in the top super emerges, they'll then fill those cells with nectar to be stored above the broodnest, which they are now moving down into the bottom deep to make room for honey above in the super.
