I may do it in the spring when I flip boxes, if its excessive burr, etc. if ya find a queen cell, cut that puppy out and use it for splits, or nucs. I believe you are speaking about the brood chamber, right?
In the fall all supers are supposed to be scraped of excess comb, but ya have to watch the help, cause sometimes they don't do it, and it slowes me down when supering.
Ya sorry Stonefly7, I was referring to my brood boxes. When I flipped boxes there was excessive burr comb but due to time at the moment I didnt clean each frame up. Waiting on the sun on a day that I have off since we finally have the temps!!!
I think you will be fine for now. Catch it next spring. I only mess in the brood and disturb it when I have to.
