No more deer lease. (Wildfire) pic heavy
Yall have probably seen the news of the West Texas Wildfires. Here are a couple pics from the deer lease I just got off of this past year. Talk about perfect timing. All my buds are still on it. This happened last Thursday or Friday. They were thankful that the campsite was spared. Most people left their campers there year round since we had full water and electrical at camp. Well they got a call about 30 minutes ago that the campsite burned down yesterday. Nothing but metal frames left they said.

That friggin sucks. After some rain it should green up nice though.

Sorry to see that, it should be great habitat for them in about three years though - at least now you have an excuse why you can't ever get a deer :)
too soon?

Wow, how much for the four wheeler :lookout: But seriously do you guys get fireweed growths if so get ready for some good honey :)
Re: No more deer lease. (Wildfire) pic heavy
I purchased and planted fireweed on my property this yr going to let it take over I am told it will take over if you let it. I am told it is great for bees and it is a very invasive plant.

The problem is it was so thick in that area and no there it nothing. Areas just outside that property that were not affected will have all the deer. The deer will come over to the burnt areas at night to feed, but back to the thick stuff by sun up.
