Is there potential for problems with burr comb buildup when placing Collins Ultimate Feeders directly on frames rather than a more traditional pail feeder over the inner cover?
Thanks,
Jason

My opinion. If they run out of space to store syrup they will start drawing comb where ever they feel like it. So yes you could have problems. But if they are starving or are getting really low on stores. the best place for feed it right on top of the bars. I always put my feeders (quart jars, pail feeders or whatever I have available) right over the inner cover hole and never have any problems.
