Re: Orchard Mason Bees
Can anyone give me some plant suggestions for my Mason bees? I am new to keeping mason bees, and I do not have any fruit trees. What are some flowering plants that I should plant for my bees? Will a flowering almond work? Any other suggestions?
Thank you!

Re: Orchard Mason Bees
I'm not sure what zone you are in but in my area mason bees love Pieris Japonica, Red Bud, Winter Honeysuckle and Dandelions. They also will work plants in the mustard family such as turnips, rape, canola etc. In order for these to bloom at the time of Osmia bee activity, they should be planted in the fall and allowed to bloom in the early spring. Your flowering almond should also be good for the mason bees. Good luck.
