Apivar use experience

Anyone here have any experience with using Apivar in thier hives?
Good experiences? bad experiences? How do the bees handle it?

I used it in 05 and Apiguard in 06. I had Vacuum sealed the Api Life in 05 and used the rest of it in 07 along with Apiguard. I used each product on separate hives and did not use both on the same hive. I had better control with the Apiguard than the Api Life. The Api life might just be old and not as strong.
