Hive collapse (SHB)
For those of you who have never seen it!!! I thought the colony was very strong two weeks prior. We are in a dearth but I think the queens became a little crowded by honey and pollen in the bottom chamber (as someone else has suggested) because of a little soybean flow from a field close by.
I would have rated the hive strong with no apparent problems other than the above. We have had some late swarming, maybe they swarmed before I realized it and left the hive weak in numbers for the take over to begin. (The yard is twenty miles from my house.)
Well take a look if you please :mad:.
Sorry to see this. This summer seems to be a bummer for gardening or beekeeping.
Get those frames in a freezer as soon as possible, if you can, and save those frames from being a total loss.
Dang, that is so sad. I am sorry about your hive.
