How can one view the profiles of other members? It would be nice to be able to look and see which members are in what area. I would like to know who the fellow Okies are and if it is possible to show the email addresses if a memeber wishes to.

The icon at the top of the post that looks kinda like a face followed by a question mark will give you their profile.
I must be blind and stupid because I heard this explained before and I still can't find it.
Now I will click "show signature" at the bottom and see if that helps.

It did, now I get the little symbols at the top !
------------------
OK. At the top of the post. The line just above it starts with some symbol. Sometimes it's a piece of notebook paper sometimes its a question mark sometimes it's a smiley face. Immeadiately following this is "posted (some date)" then there are two or three pictures. Sometimes there is a letter (for email) then a face an equals sign and question mark (all one little icon) and then another picture of a notpad and a pencil (to edit the post). The face is the one you want for profiles.
Under that is the post itself.
Perhaps it is configurable what you see, but I didn't try to configure it and it's what I get. Also, maybe if you have some way of seeing it with less graphics, maybe it's not like that.
And if you don't put your e-mail address in your profile, there is no e-mail icon. Michael...?
Bill
Yes. If you don't have an email address in your profile then there is no envolope icon on the top of your post.
OK Thanks for this info. Is there a way to search for all members located in my area/region/state? Instead of waiting until they post a messages?

Not that I am aware of. Maybe Barry can shed some light on that.
How 'bout just posting it like a new topic/question? Maybe, state where you live, and ask all members within x distance who would like to associate to contact you.
(It was sunny today in NW Misery, had to put the shades on!)

From my Aussie friend,
glow is a polite way of saying that a woman is sweating. It was common to say "horses sweat, men perspire, women glow".
