Hi to all! I was going over the messages already posted and I'm looking forward to be part of the forum, to learn more about beekeeping.
I'm kind of new at the game, since I started two years ago. I'm happy to report that my six colonies came out of Winter in good shape, and they seem to be doing just fine. I hope to build up a bit this spring and summer to perhaps 10 hives. I like to keep medications to a minimum, and used coumaphos in only one hive last fall. They all have SBB which I use to monitor varroa levels, a practice I would recommend to all. At least to all of us that keep bees sort of as a hobby. Commercial beekeeping might be a different game.
Well, that's all for now. I'm really happy http://www.beesource.com/ubb/smile.gif for having found this site.
