Hi Everybody,
Anybody ever find a use for the cages that 3 pound packages come in after you hive the bees ?

I used to scrap them for parts. Use the screen wire here and there and use the wood for a bee space on my homemade inner covers. Now I also use them in my bee vac. It's designed to use them. I don't think I ever threw one away.

You can shake your own bees and make up packages for yourself. It is an alternative to splitting.
