Hi I had a local farmer ask me about putting s few hives on his soy bean fields. Is the honey off soy beans any good or should I stick to clover?
Thanks Dan

I don't know for sure where all of my honey comes from, but there are both alfalfa fields and soy bean fields all around. My honey is very light and very delicious.
Soybean honey is a little darker then clover or alfalfa. It also has a bit of a afterbite taste. It is still very good but soybeans do not produce a lot of nectar to make honey with.
Then I'm guessing mine is more alfalfa and wild fruit trees and wildflowers.
Kayakdg, I keep 6 hives on an organic farm that grows a lot of soy beans. The honey is a little darker but has an amazing taste. Go for it, your bees will enjoy it too. Steve
