hi all i was just reading about this small hive bettle,i have not heard off rany around here in indiana but would like to know more about them,like how to kill them ,what kind of damage do they do an so on. raybo1331
Hi there. Yes we have had small hive beetles in Indiana in Laporte County. Which is right by the Indiana Michigan State Line and there was some in another area once. In American Bee Journal, Feb 04, p89, is an article that describes a SHB control method.
Have you done a search? (Here and Internet)
I read (maybe club newsletter) that SHB are not in Indiana, but better be prepared.
