Hi all, Last year was not a good first year .it appears all of my bees froze to death . One hive got taken out by a fallen limb and split open, the other just died. I've ordered new packages to try again this year . Can I reuse the comb that last years bees made? most of it had parts that were full of bees could I cut out the sections or do i have to start from scratch?
Thanks, Tony
Bees will clean a repair the comb. Re use as long as it it disease free. (AFB/EFB) It will give the packages quite a boost as they will not have to use so resources to draw comb before rearing brood.

AFB/EFB are brood diseases. You would have had to make the determination then. Google/ search for it. I've never had to deal with it. If you did, have it, my bet is you would have been looking for answers before now. It is devastating.
Rick
thanks for all of the feedback .At least I'll get something out of last years stuff.
