I don't use this product but I DO use essential oils. I don't consider them a stand-alone mite treatment, however. Evidence of their effectivity as a drench just isn't there. I consider them a good tonic when added to syrup--an aid to hive buildup--that I use in the spring and fall. I test for mites regularly all summer and--only if needed--use OA in the late fall. OA is an effective mite treatment. Fortunately my counts stayed so low as to be nonexistent last year, so I didn't need to treat.
Sorry but I looked on their site to see ingredients but could not find a listing for the product. Sounds like a formic acid product but without reading it.... Sorry not to be any help.
