Good luck with your russians, I think that there a great bee. I keep NWCs, Buckfasts (from Furgeson in canada) and Russians the russians are a even more frugal with their winter stores than the NWCs and unbelievably better than the buckfast. As for honey production the buckfast have an edge but the rusians and NWC are not that far behind them.
