Haven't spoken with you in a while. Hope things are well in your neck of the woods. Doing okay here except for the pain in my shoulders and left thumb. Still selld HBH and DE. Get some calls for both products. Fair amount of honey. Rain out of jars. Purcased 8 case of quarts and 8 cases of pints and 104 caps (1 extra dozen of lids) Had a lot of cutouts to do. Finisheed one up in a cedar tree I cut down and moved to the farm last Saturday. Cut othe the bees from an upstairs bathroom on Wed and moved the bees to the farm on Earth. Looks like this make state a run for the god for a while. I still have plenty of honey to sell and a great amnount of "wild honey" that I captured while doing trap outs of hives., Did 2 cutouts starting Thursday and ending with hives on patio awaiting smoakd.chaircoal teas.

    Indian Hawthorn.

Mine aren’t blooming yet. But the bees will be all over them when they are. Mine are called “Clara” that’s the white variety.

    Hello Derek,
    Steve up by Dallas here.
What was the name of the bushes you mentioned the beed enjoyed? Was it Hawthorn? Our neighbor has a few and the bees are all over it. I went out and bought several for shrubs in the yard.
I ordered a few new queens from b weaver as suggested. I've got a hive that either swarmed or is just having a rough go. Very few bees in the hive and a new queen. I am in Afghanistan at the moment so I can't do anything about it now. We'll have to see how mother nature handles this one till I get back in a few weeks.
Got the wife feeding them sugar water while I am gone.

I'm so stung-up I look like Jay Lenno.Kinda wondering if this is such a good hobby here in south Texas. I did order an Ultrabreeze suit. I destroyed the hot bees. They were in two deeps and 2 supers. I received some help from a fellow keeper. They were even hot for him. Now I'm down to 2 hives . The hot bees that did'nt get soaped swarmed one of my nucs and then they swarmed. What a mess.
