Curious as to how everyone did last year. I still didn't have enough comb going into 2009 to make a lot of honey w/o having the bees to make comb first.
Our nectar flow here in Murfreesboro/Rutherford county was pretty bad. We had a lot of rain during the flow and most of the nectar was washed away. Had to feed my bees all of the time after the nectar flow and still did not succeed in building up the hives enough to survive the winter.
I did get around 6 gallons of honey off a few hives. First honey I have gotten. Maybe I should have moved the honey frames to other hives but I would not have had enough to cover many hives for the winter.
