" Pesticide free since 1993. 100% Organically managed operation."

Many miticides contain thymol and few would consider thymol (or menthol ) to be "100% organic".

Maybee......but many would! I have not tryed either but they are allowed under the best "organic" standards I have found here http://www.naturallygrown.org/programs/apiary-standards

What is the space for between the wax foundation and the top bar?Is there a screen or something else in there that I am not seeing?I am picturing a hole in the top bar, with bottom, for the crystals.

The above list "allows" some products that contain thymol but thymol crystals are not listed... and "thyme" is not to be confused with thymol. Thyme is not a hazard to ship.

Give the CNG folks a call and ask about placing thymol crystals inside a production hive... ask if it's considered "natural". If they say "Yes", I would consider their standards to be very low.

I agree with BeeCurious; thyme is completely different than a crystal. I keep thing simple; if I won’t put it in my mouth and eat it, there is no way I’m putting it in my hive.

Heheheh, Don teaches all aspects of Beekeeping, including organic--Personally for my bee's I stick to essential oils if anything at all. One thing he mentioned in the video was having plants that contain tymol around their hives...

Also about Thymol and Tyme.. here is your information.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thymol so yes Thyme does contain Tymol.. amongst other plants...

Heheheh,

Don does fgmo fogging. Explain how that is natural or organic. It doesn't seem to be approved by the CNG.

And for the last time, placing thymol crystals inside a a hive is not natural or organic.

This isn't about beliefs ... hehehe
