Foundation in cell builder

Most procedures for cell builders include adding frame of foundation to give bees somewhere to work. This decreases burr comb on cell bar frame.

Where do you put it in relation to cell bar frame.

I would put it between the brood and the nectar.

Note: What kind of cell bar frame are you using. Much of the burr results from having 3/4" wide cell bars mounted in a standard frame. Violation of bee space. Try 3/4" cell bars in a 3/4" cell bar frame.

The ones I have are from Brushy Mnt and are 3/4 bar in 3/4 frame. They have 3 bars each.

If I were to do 30 cells would it be better to do top two 15 each or 3 @ 10.
