Leaving for a three and a half hour drive to Walter Kelly's to attend the beekeeping 101 school tomorrow. A friend from our beekeeping club is going with me. This is going to be fun and I am sure we will learn something. Also going to buy some stuff after the school.

That's great. Let us know how it went.

There is another New beekeeping class coming in December 12, at Nisse Farms, Manteno, Illinois. Practically down the street from me.

I've taken this course last year and would recommend it to anybody new or wishing to join the crowd. I believe next April there is a part 2 to this seminar. I've had that one too and got to meet several BEEKS. We even had a honey extraction party. I couldn't get my wife out of that place much less her eating all the uncapped honey comb leftovers...

Just another thought, last year after the Hazard school my son and I went to try to find the Elk in the area. After just a short drive we saw probably 50 or so Elk. I didn't know they were that big.
