Yup thats right, Rabbits. We got em!
Picked up 11 rabbits yesterday, 2 adult does , 2 adult bucks and a litter of 7 weanlings,4does 3 bucks. All New Zealand Whites. Its the start of a bunny empire!
Actually its the start of my daughters' 4h project, Meat rabbits.
They will get to track the progress of the bunnies,chart feed costs, and of corse get to show them at the county and state fairs. Its gonna be fun watching them learn all thats required, including daily feeding and cleaning.
The girls already know that if Dad has to start doing these chores All the bunnies will go bye bye.
I've alredy invested more than I would like in materials and labor to build the hutches.
I'm just wating for the day we can start butchering! I love fried rabbit!
