I started building my own boxes, but when I put one together at the corners there is about an 1/8" of an inch different. Will this hurt anything or will the bees fill it up? Thanks.

Bees are good at patching and not really to fussy. Plug the gaps up the best you can and let the bees do the rest.

My mann lake boxes where a little off. I plained them a little to make them stack without gaps.

Once the box is full of honey, it may lay flat on the box below. If the gap is still there when the box is full, you will appreciate having a spot to stick your hive tool in to break the boxes apart.

Ventilation is a good thing. The bees will propilise the gap where they seem fit. If it makes you feel better throw a piece of duct tape over the "gap" and be happy.

I agree with CB man those "perfectly'' flat fitting boxes can be a bear to break apart. We build all our own boxes I appreciate a little gap most of the time and the bees will glue shut what they dont want.
