Just for grins, anybody got a copy of an old Dadant catalog? I could PM you with some items I'd like to know what they would have cost back then.

How far back do you want to go?

Looking at an ABJ from January 1982. Western bee supplies has deeps for $3.85 each, or $3.55 for 100 or more

In my Gleanings from 1884:

Bingham Large Smoker with Wide Shield...from Bingham himself...$1.50
Root Comb Foundation Machines...$10 to $50
D.E. Jacobs from Longley, Ohio has 5 black queens at 30 cents each and some hybrids at 40 cents
J.L. Hyde has 3 frame nucleus colonies after July 4 at $3.00
British Bee Journal at $1.40 a year
Holy Land Italians for $2.00

Michael,
Things have certainly changed since then. I'm thinking the queens at $2 each was a ton of money then vs. today's dollars. This was interesting, but also about 98 years farther back than the prices I was wondering about!

I've PM'd those of you who said you had old catalogs with a short, specific list of items. I'd like this information for curiosity sake and to help prove a point.

Thanks!
