It is amazing how much of a difference the correct table saw blade makes. I have tried everyone of my blades to cut HDPE sheets for the boning in my hoods. The blades would always leave strings of HDPE on the edge that would have to be scrapped off. Purchased a specialty blade designed for plastic that has 120 teeth at a $1.50 a tooth. It slices through the plastic like butter, with very little noise and a nice smooth edge. To say the least I was flabbergasted with the results.
Have to look at my other saw blades now.

Sounds line an eye-opener.:-)
Wanted to mention handsaws. I have become totaly hooked on the japaneese pull-saw style instead of the traditional handsaws. You have more control, and the cut is much smoother. Only downsize it that they are more expensive.

You would be amazed at how well traditional western style handsaws cut when they are sharp. US manufacturers quit shipping truly sharp saws many years ago, and the art of filing is lost to most people these days. Find someone that can file that old Disston correctly, then try it. There is a reason western saws were used for 200 years here. They work just as well when sharp. The commercial Japanese saws come sharp, but can't readily be resharpened once dull. They also have a tendency to shed teeth in hard woods. The traditional Japanese woodworking was done mostly in soft wood.
Speaking of saws. What would you recommend for cutting deep plastic drone frames down to mediums. I have a table saw available, but what about hand saws and has anyone tried this?

I am not sure if this will work for you or if you had already tried it. I used this for cutting vinyl siding as well as other plastics but all I do is place a 60-80 tooth 10" blade in the table saw backwards. It makes a pretty good cut and is cheap, this may or may not work for you. I have done the same with 7" & 5" circlular saws up on lifts.

I really like my bandsaw for cutting down these plastic frames.
