Hi all
do you grease your dadant motor at all...add a couple drops of oil in the motor?
Got ideas where to find the bottom bearing to grease?
Rented this thing from a friend, no idea if it needs to be greased
Thanks

I have a 6/12 Dadant both bearings are sealed, I have replaced the bottom one 2 times in as many years the one I bought last year was from china :(
The greese fitting on the top only lubs the outside of the bearing.
I ask the bearing supply guy about betting a stainless bearing and he said IF he could find one I would NOT like the price  so I got the standard bearing (made in USA this time) and I hope it last more than one season but a new beekeeper brought me some more of the same bearings from his work place so I have a stock now

Thanks HM
What about the motor? Do you add any lube to the motor?
I found some inner threads on the bottom of the shaft, looks like for a grease nipple. Hubby is going to check into it. Got to say the top bearing does not creak as much now when gettting going.
