alchol wash

today i did a alchol wash on two of my hives. first hive had 1 mite, and the second had 4 mites. i collected a 1/4 cup of nurse bees, put them in alchol swirled them around for a couple of minutes, then drained them thourgh a strainer onto cheese cloth. four mites i don't know what this tells me with a 1/4 cup of bees. little advice thanks

3/4" of bees in a quart canning jar is about 300 bees.
3 mites would be a 1% infestation, or a Very Good number.
