Here's some from my first harvest. Got the bees in April. I was able to harvest around 30lbs.
Funny thing is, I expected some darker honey from all the goldenrod being collected. I'm hoping they are just storing it lower in the hive to set themselves up for winter.

Plenty of GR around here. Not many asters at all. Maybe I do have some GR honey! I sure smelled it for the last month :)

They sure did! It was a fun summer. I have learned so much. Can't wait 'til next year. If I had to guess, my brother will be up there for some bees next spring.

Congrats. Thats some good lookin honey. This year was my first harvest also. Ours here in NC is early, tulip poplar. But anyhow I was proud of it and look forward to next year. The problem saving a jar is that Im down to my last quart. I"ll eat it probably . Congrats

We just span 4 hives yesterday. This is my 2nd year and I'm glad to say that we got 18 gallons out of the 4 hives with 4 half done supers still sitting on top of the brood boxes.
