good idea - learning in same apiary

I read Larry Connor's Sept. article in Bee Culture on establishing a beekeeping essentials class (available to read online). Wow, I wish I had this opportunity! Eight three hour classes, May thru Oct., along with 10+ newbies, to compare & contrast everything in the first year once 5 frame nucs are delivered to the same apiary (yes the same, everybody has to show up at the same time and place).

Are any clubs using this method?
